ISO9001 Compound Alloy Silicon Calcium Usage Steelmaking Additive
Calcium Silicon is compound alloy which is composed of silicon, calcium and ferro. It is an ideal compound deoxidizer and desulfurizer which can be used in the production of many kinds of steel such as rail steel, low carbon steel, stainless steel and other special alloy like Ni base alloy and titanium base alloy. CaSi alloy also can be applied as the heatraiser in convertor steelmaking workshop and as the inoculant or additive in producing cast iron and nodular cast iron.
Calcium Silicon function
The main components of silicon calcium alloy are silicon and calcium, and different amounts of impurities such as Fe, Al, C, S, P etc. Calcium has a strong affinity with oxygen, sulfur, hydrogen, nitrogen and carbon in molten steel. So, silicon calcium alloys are usually used as a deoxidizer and desulfurizer.

Applications
1. Used as deoxidizer & desulfurizer in steel making.
2. Effectively avoid the problem of ladle nozzle nodules and blockage.
3. As an inoculant for casting and an additive in the production of ductile iron.
